Stomp Orpheum Theatre - Omaha Theatre reviews
Amazing performance
Stomp came on, and I immediately started feeling it. Initially, I was dreading the show, but then volbeat showed up. Great energy, excellent musicians. They played well! I remember hearing Stomp twenty years ago, and I liked "wait and bleed", but for the most part, not a fan...at all, lol. Same with volbeat when they blew up a few years back. I had some friends into them but I wasn't into it. The people I service long for not only an outlet, but a way to be and express themselves; to feel like rockstars. The first thing I want to say is I've never seen my guy's face light up with so much excitement. Stomp did it for this person and it was incredible. Second, the fans were beyond great looking out for him, engaging with him. The humanity and love that came from such a hardcore place was moving. They melted faces this show, they got a way of winding their audience up and giving them everything they want while still craving more. At one point they invited a kid on stage and let them play guitar and jam with them, it was very cool!! And last, Stomp as performers brought the noise and excitement and pageantry that is simply their own. Rock on to ALL you guys, your fans, and the people you inspire. It was an awesome event, with fireworks and flames to boot. You got a fan out of a skeptic, volbeat and Stomp. What you guys do is what music is all about, and we'll be back next year FO SHO! First and foremost, this isn't normally my music genre. I'm more of a west coast hippy kind of girl, but I work with the special needs and the person I service is a huge Stomp fan, so I didn't have a choice.
